While the market recovers from the Monday madness, we bring you some of the top stocks and stories from Tuesday as the market winds down.
The cities sought to force the companies to pay to protect residents from climate change. However, a federal judge dismissed the lawsuit.
Spotify Technology (SPOT) hired Dawn Ostroff as a chief content officer. Ostroff was previously an executive at Conde Nast and also helped launch the television network, the CW.
Ostroff will be in charge of content partnerships for Spotify.
And finally, both Hertz Global Holdings Inc. (HTZ) and Avis Budget Group Inc. (CAR) fell over 10% on Tuesday in result of a Morgan Stanley analyst turning bearish. Adam Jonas, the analyst, believes that both Avis and Hertz will be impacted by cars coming off of leases and because, in 2017, rental companies got a boost from natural disasters since there weren't enough used cars for victims who had lost their cars.
