Billionaire Home Depot (HD) co-founder Ken Langone said we need more business leaders running for political office.
"I think one of the greatest things to happen because of Trump's presidency is for a lot of people to say, he did it -- I can do it," Langone told TheStreet. "I think Howard Schultz, Jamie Dimon - these people haven't said they're going to do it - Mike Bloomberg - I can go on down a list of all of these very successful business people who have demonstrated an ability to lead and who understand the importance of capitalism."
On Monday, Starbucks (SBUX) executive chairman Howard Schultz announced plans to step aside, fueling speculation of a political future.
