Stocks quotes in this article: UBS, BAC

Louise and Nina Gunderson are a powerhouse mother/daughter financial advisory team with UBS Financial Services (UBS) in New York.

Louise has spent 49 years in the financial services industry and is one of the nation's top female financial advisors. She is a trailblazer in a still very male-dominated industry

Recruited by UBS from Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAC) , she now has a whopping $800 million in assets under management. And while today she's a force to be reckoned with, there was a time when she had to enter private clubs through the side door because women weren't allowed to come through the main entrances (What?!).

Today, she has her daughter Nina by her side and they are laser-focused on helping women, in particular, take control of their finances.

And since $22 trillion is expected to be transferred from men to women between now and 2020, they are in a sweet spot.

Having Nina on board to be the millenial connection is key too because there is a big gap in the succession planning for many financial advistory firms today.

Watch the clip above as Nina talks about what it's really like to work with your Mom every day.

And be sure to listen to our full conversation, where we talked about everything from the current state of the financial advisory world to what is was like for Louise to be the only woman at the table for a very long time.
