Thankfully Our Favorite #FearlessGirl is Not Going Anywhere

Thankfully, our favorite #FearlessGirl is not going anywhere. She is just taking a walk to her new spot, right across from the NYSE and closer to our offices! And we couldn't be happier!

Alpha Rising's favorite #FearlessGirl is taking a walk -- closer to our offices!

The statue of the "Fearless Girl" was commissioned by State Street Global Advisors to urge the 3,500-plus client companies to increase the number of women on their corporate boards.

She was installed March 7, 2017, the day before International Women's Day, right in front of the Wall Street bull, which is located at the intersection of Broadway and Whitehall Street, right down the street from the New York Stock Exchange (ICE) .

And she was supposed to be removed on March 8, 2018, International Women's Day, unless State Street and the NYC Mayor's office worked something out.  The city, in particular, wanted her to have a "safer home."  Her current spot in a median in the middle of two busy streets, often gets overrun with admirers who film her in the middle of the roads.

Well, thankfully they have decide to more her about three blocks away, to outside the NYSE, facing the building, where no cars are allowed to pass.

"We eagerly await the arrival of Fearless Girl to her fitting new home, standing her ground and training her unblinking eyes on our engine of progress and free enterprise," said Thomas Farley, President of the NYSE.

We are too! Because we now will get to see her everyday on our way into the office!

Plus, we had a chance to ask her fans what they thought of her and her new spot as well.  Watch now!
