TheStreet stopped by the New York International Auto Show. Topping the trends this year were SUVs and plug-in hybrid vehicles.

Cadillac, a division of General Motors (GM) , displayed its XT4 compact SUV, boasting 30 miles per gallon on the highway and 237 horsepower.

Volvo's XC60 won 2018 World Car of the Year and features a plug-in hybrid option.

Mercedes-Benz's nearly $200,000 Maybach S 650 sedan features a two-tone exterior color option.

And BMW's $163,000 plug-in hybrid i8 Roadster stole the show and is expected to hit the roads this spring.
