Christmas Movies to Watch - Netflix, Hallmark, Hulu, Amazon, Freeform and more

Happy Holidays! Have you opened your presents and eaten too many Christmas cookies? Maybe it's time to settle down for a long winter's nap... From Elf to Santa Clause to the Grinch, here are a few movie ideas to enjoy with your family.
By JULIE IANNUZZI Dec 25, 2017 | 12:00 PM EST

'Tis the season to watch Holiday Movies!

The battle for campy holiday movies is intense! There's Freeform's (formerly ABC Family) 25 Days of Christmas. The network got a jumpstart on its 25 Days of Christmas and officially kicked of the Christmas Season back on October 28th.

Plus, Hallmark reportedly has produced 33 original movies! Woe. And you've no doubt seen their aggressive marketing that included everything from sponsoring a window at Lord & Taylor's Manhattan Flagship store to an hard-hitting twitter advertising campaign.

Still, we know you're gonna settle down for a movie after you've opened presents and stuffed your face. So to help you out, watch our video for some ideas, plus here's the Christmas Day line-up from a handful of Christmas movie destinations! Enjoy!

The Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies reign king:

  • Miss Christmas
  • The Mistletoe Inn
  • Christmas Connection

Netflix tames your Christmas itch:

  • How the Grinch Stole Christmas
  • A Very Murray Christmas
  • Fireplace for Your Home

Amazon offers something old and something new for Christmas:

  • Santa Clause movies
  • Trolls
  • You Can't Fight Christmas

Hulu offers holiday cheer with films like:

  • I'll Be home for Christmas
  • Chilly Christmas

Freeform's Christmas Day movie line-up includes:

  • Frosty's Winter Wonderland
  • Santa Claus is Comin' to Town
  • The Polar Express
  • The Santa Clause
  • Elf
