Norwegian Air Shuttle (NWARF) is taking on traditional transatlantic carriers like Delta Air Lines (DAL) , United Airlines (UAL) and American Airlines (AAL) , by offering ultra-low fares on flights to Europe from the United States.
The fuel efficient Boeing (BA) 787 Dreamliner and the 737 MAX allow the airline to pass along the fuel savings to consumers. Fares on its 737 MAX routes can be as low as $100.
That said, expect to pay for perks you might take for granted on traditional carriers like meals and drinks.
Despite the president's promise of no stimulus until after Nov. 3, there are no signs yet that this is the sort of correlated selling that leads to a deep correction.
