Expedia (EXPE) CEO Dara Khosrashahi has reportedly been offered the top job at Uber, though it's currently unclear if he has accepted the offer.
The Iranian-American businessman took the helm of travel site Expedia in August of 2005. During his time as CEO, Expedia has expanded to over 60 countries across the globe with its revenue surging from $2.1 billion in 2005 to $8.7 billion in 2016, according to Business Insider. Beyond his role at Expedia, Khosrowshahi also sits on the New York Times' (NYT) board of directors.
If he takes the position, Khosrowshahi will enter a company still reeling from negative headlines and scandal. Is Khosrashahi the right fit to replace embattled former CEO Travis Kalanick or should Uber look in another direction?
