The Dow Jones Industrial Average notched a new record for its fourth day in a row. The blue-chip index also closed out July with its best gains since February. The S&P 500 dipped into the red in the closing minutes. Boeing Co. (BA) led the Dow after issuing a positive outlook for sales in India. The aircraft manufacturer expects regional airlines to order up to 2,100 new models over the next two decades, a record forecast for India. Sprint Corp. (S) declined after Charter Communications Inc. (CHTR) said it wasn't interested in buying the company. That follows on from reports last week that Sprint had been in talks with Charter and Comcast. HSBC Holdings PLC (HSBC) was higher after posting stronger-than-expected first-half earnings. Pretax profit rose just over 5% from a year earlier. The bank also launched an additional $2 billion share buyback program.
