The box office saved the day for Comcast (CMCSA) . The company says its Universal Pictures Studio saw revenue up nearly 60%. It credits 'Fate of the Furious' and 'Sing' for that big boost. But Cable television continues to see cord cutting--the company lost 34,000 video subscribers, more than 24.000 analysts expected. Still cable revenue rose slightly as it raised prices on those customers who have stuck around, mostly due to high speed internet. It's theme parks did well as the 'The Wizarding World of Harry Potter', Minion Park in Japan and Volcano Bay in Orlando are attracting large numbers of visitors. Comcast also recently launched a new wireless service for customers who subscribe to its internet service.
