U.K. property asking prices just declined for the first time since 2009, as wage growth slows and political uncertainty grows in Britain.
Asking prices for houses dropped 0.4% in June, following a 1.2% rise the previous month. June is normally a month that sees a seasonal rise in prices.
"Buyers' confidence has clearly been affected by inflation outstripping their pay packets and current political events," said Miles Shipside, Director of property website Rightmove.
Despite the president's promise of no stimulus until after Nov. 3, there are no signs yet that this is the sort of correlated selling that leads to a deep correction.
