Interviewing with TheStreet, Shark Tank star Barbara Corcoran urged college grads against relying on their traditional source of life advice. Corcoran said that wanting the best for you, loved ones are "risk evasive," which could mean you take the safe route and miss out on a big opportunity. "If I had listened to my mother and she told me not to go into business....maybe I'd still be at the Fort Lee Diner waitressing counters." Corcoran said you should rather be relying on your peers, especially if you're looking for a business partner.
