It's a $50 billion dollar black market business, according to Hadley Ford, CEO of iAnthus Capital Management, a company that provides funding for cannabis cultivators. The company is publicly traded on the over the counter markets and since its debut in September 2016, shares are up some 75%.
"There's no financing available for people in the market," he said, adding that 28 states have legalized medical marijuana, while eight states have legalized recreational marijuana.
Despite the president's promise of no stimulus until after Nov. 3, there are no signs yet that this is the sort of correlated selling that leads to a deep correction.
