Each year, the National Association of Female Executives, or NAFE, surveys companies to monitor the advancement of women. We got to spend time with Subha Barry, VP and general manager of Working Mother Media and NAFE, so we could dissect the survey's findings.
Here's a sampling of the survey's data.
• Female representation among CEOs at NAFE Top 60 Companies rose 4% in the past year.
• Female representation among the top 10% of earners at the NAFE top companies increased 2% to 41%, the highest since 2013.
• Men still received the greatest number of promotions.
The top companies that have done right by women are Abbott Labs (ABT) , Adecco (AHEXF) , Deloitte , Ernst & Young, FleishmanHillard, IBM (IBM) , Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) , KPMG, L'Oréal USA and Procter & Gamble (PG) .
