Roughly 17 million U.S. credit cardholders snoop on their partner's statements.

If you've ever tried to hide a purchase from your spouse, you're not alone. CreditCards.com reports that 12 million Americans have concealed their credit or bank accounts from a significant other. Of those surveyed, one in four admitted to making a large purchase without first consulting with their partner. Such secretive spending has led to financial mistrust in relationships, particularly among those who share bank accounts.
