At the Consumer Electronics, Carnival Cruise Line (CCL) announced new technology that will change the way their passengers experience their cruise. A quarter-sized disk made of burnished aluminum will be provided to passengers before they get on the ship.
The medallion has many useful purposes, one of them being to make payments of their merchandise as well as locking and unlocking their room. The CEO of Carnival Cruise Line told TheStreet in an interview, "We think this is a breakthrough."
