On Thursday, December 15, investors await quarterly results from Oracle (ORCL) and Adobe Systems (ADBE) . After the markets close, analysts expect Oracle to post earnings of $0.60 a share on sales of $9.12 billion. During the same quarter a year ago, the company posted profit of $0.63 a share with revenue from $9 billion. Also after the closing bell, Adobe Systems is set to post earnings of $0.86 a share on sales of $1.59 billion. During the same quarter a year ago, Adobe posted profit of $0.62 a share on sales of $1.31 billion. Other notable earnings include Jabil Circuit (JBL) , released after the markets close. As for economic data, the consumer price index for November is out at 8:30 a.m. EDT, which is expected to rise 0.2% month-over-month. Plus weekly jobless claims are also released at 8:30 a.m. TheStreet's Scott Gamm reports from Wall Street.
