Oil prices climbed higher on Monday, after major oil producers decided over the weekend to join OPEC members and reduce production. Oil prices have surged since OPEC agreed to cut output, and Jim Cramer says U.S. independent oil companies will benefit from that. Cramer recently spoke with the CEO of Cimarex (XEC) about that company's prospects. Despite the big jump in oil prices however, Cramer says investors are skeptical about whether or not the gains will hold. Near midday Monday, oil prices were up about 3%.
