President-elect Donald Trump reportedly picked Exxon Mobil (XOM) CEO Rex Tillerson to be his Secretary of State. He is also a recipient of the Russian Order of Friendship, which President Vladamir Putin awarded him in 2013. Tillerson oversaw Exxon's operations in Russia and the Crimea during the 1990's. In 2011, he oversaw a planned $500 million deal for Exxon Mobil to operate with Russian oil company Rosneft. That deal failed after Russia's invasion of Crimea. Tillerson and Trump's views seem to diverge on issues like Common Core, free trade, and climate change.
