The October jobs report is released on Friday, November 4th at 8:30 a.m. Eastern. Analysts expect nonfarm payrolls to rise by 178,000, higher than the 156,000 jobs created in September. This is the final jobs report before Tuesday's presidential election. Average hourly wages will also be unveiled Friday, which are expected to rise 0.3% month-over-month. Meanwhile, Fed officials Dennis Lockhart, Rob Kaplan and Stanley Fischer are slated to speak at various events on Friday. As for earnings, Humana (HUM) releases results before the markets open. Analysts expect the insurance giant to post earnings of $3.09 a share on sales of $13.4 billion. During the same quarter a year ago, the company posted earnings of $2.16 a share with revenue of $13.36 billion. Rival health insurance company Aetna (AET) is in the process of acquiring Humana. Other earnings due out on Friday include Duke Energy (DUK) and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals (REGN) . TheStreet's Scott Gamm reports from Wall Street.
