On Tuesday, October 4, investors will be parsing earnings reports and remarks from Federal Reserve officials. Darden Restaurants (DRI) and Micron Technology (MU) release quarterly results. Analysts expect Micron to post a loss of $0.12 a share on sales of $3.15 billion. During the same quarter a year ago, the company posted earnings of $0.37 with revenue of $3.6 billion. Plus, WhiteWave Foods (WWAV) and Hilton Hotels (HLT) hold their annual shareholders meetings on Tuesday. There is no major economic data released Tuesday, although Federal Reserve officials Jeffrey Lacker and Charles Evans are speaking at events. TheStreet's Scott Gamm reports from Wall Street.
