For the week of September 26, investors will get quarterly results from a host of major companies and testimony from Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen. On the earnings calendar, Carnival Corporation (CCL) and Thor Industries (THO) report earnings Monday. Nike (NKE) releases earnings on Tuesday, along with BlackBerry Limited (BBRY) on Wednesday. On Thursday, Accenture (ACN) , ConAgra Foods (CAG) , Costco Wholesale (COST) and Pepsico (PEP) release quarterly results. On Friday, McCormick & Company (MKC) posts earnings. On the economic calendar, the S&P Case-Shiller Home Price Index for July is released Tuesday. Durable goods orders for August are out Wednesday, along with the EIA Petroleum Status Report. Also on Wednesday, Yellen testifies before the House Financial Services Committee, while various Fed officials in including Charles Evans, Loretta Mester and Esther George are speaking. On Thursday, the final estimate for second quarter GDP is out. On Friday, personal income, consumer spending and the personal consumption expenditure price index for August are released.
