Stocks held higher through the morning session as crude oil extended earlier gains. Crude recovered a level above $45 on elevated hopes of a production freeze agreement among top oil producers. Sarepta Therapeutics (SRPT) soared after the FDA granted approval for its treatment for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The terms of the approval require Sarepta to hold a new clinical trial to prove the drug's efficacy. Eldorado Resorts (ERI) has agreed to buy Isle of Capri Casinos (ISLE) in a cash and stock deal worth nearly $1 billion. The acquisition doubles the number of gaming locations Eldorado operates. TerraForm Power (TERP) climbed after announcing it was exploring strategic alternatives, including a possible sale of some or all of its business. The energy company has made a confidentiality agreement with one-time parent SunEdison (SUNE) to discuss options.
