For those attending the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro last month, the Belmond (BEL) Copacabana Palace was the most popular hotel, according to fresh data released by Foursquare. The hotel saw 44 percent more visits than the Hilton (HLT) Barra Rio de Janeiro, the second most popular hotel, according to Foursquare data. 'The Belmond had a $20 million renovation in 2012 and the Hilton opened in 2015,' said Sarah Spagnolo, Foursquare's editor-at-large. On the restaurant side, Foursquare said Outback Steakhouse, a division of Bloomin' Brands (BLMN) , was the most popular restaurant in Rio during the games.
