The Fed heads are gathering in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. In recent weeks a few members of the Fed, citing the stronger labor market and other upbeat economic signals, have come out in favor of a rate hike sooner rather than later. The Federal Reserve does meet in September and some think a rate hike could come then. Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen will give a much anticipated speech tomorrow. 4 ex-employees of Hewlett Packard (HPQ) are suing the company for age discrimination. USA Today says they claim they were unfairly purged from the company as part of a major restructuring that led to lay-offs. An HP spokesman says they are aware of the claims and plan to defend themselves. Hewlett Packard also reported lower earnings and revenue as the printer business slows. Amazon (AMZN) may be planning a 'click and collect' grocery service. USA Today says the new locations would allow customers to order groceries and pick them up curbside.
