Discount retailers take center stage on Thursday, August 25. Dollar Tree (DLTR) and Dollar General (DG) release quarterly earnings before the markets open. Dollar General is expected to report earnings of $1.09 a share on sales of $5.5 billion. Dollar Tree is set to report earnings of $0.73 a share on revenue of $5.09 billion. Tiffany & Co. (TIF) , Ulta Salon, Cosmetics and Fragrance (ULTA) and Gamestop (GME) also release earnings on Thursday. On the economic calendar, weekly jobless claims and July durable goods orders are released at 8:30am Eastern. TheStreet's Scott Gamm reports from Wall Street.
