On Wednesday, August 3, investors will get quarterly results from Tesla (TSLA) and key labor market data. Analysts expect the automaker to report a second quarter loss of $0.55 a share on sales of $1.62 billion. During the same quarter a year ago, Tesla posted a loss of $0.48 a share on revenue of $1.2 billion. Investors will be looking for updates on Model 3 sales and the company's recent agreement to acquire SolarCity (SCTY) . Other notable earnings include Time Warner (TWX) , The Clorox Company (CLX) and Occidental Petroleum (OXY) . On the economic calendar, the ADP Employment Report for July is released at 8:30am Eastern. Economists expect private payrolls to rise by 165,000. At 10:30am Eastern, the EIA Petroleum Status Report is released. Crude inventories are expected to increase by 1.7 million barrels for the week of July 29.
