The switch from American Express (AXP) to Visa (V) for Costco (COST) membership credit cards goes live today. Shoppers can use Visa to pay for items as well as cash or check. Last year, the retail giant signed an exclusive agreement with Citigroup to provide Costco-branded Visa credit cards for Customers, ending its 16 year relationship with American Express.
