At least 70 people were killed in Pakistan in another bombing. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the bombing of a park targeting Christians who were celebrating Easter. At least 300 people were injured. Microsoft (MSFT) is in preliminary talks with private equity firms about helping finance a bid to buy embattled internet company Yahoo! (YHOO) . Reuters reports that private investors approached Microsoft to gauge its interest in buying the company. Microsoft made an unsuccessful $45 billion bid for Yahoo in 2008. Avon (AVP) is reportedly close to adding an independent director which would allow it to back away from a proxy fight with activist investors. The truce comes two weeks after Avon said it will cut about 2500 jobs worldwide and shift its corporate headquarters from New York to the United Kingdom.
