Jim Cramer, portfolio manager of Action Alerts PLUS, believes there’s always a bull market somewhere, and right now it’s in gold and consumer products companies. Cramer said he likes gold and the junior gold miners, citing comments made by TheStreet’s in-house technician, Bruce Kamich. Cramer also likes consumer products companies like Clorox (CLX), Kimberly Clark (KMB), and Procter & Gamble (PG). Cramer said P&G is the cheapest of the group, and he’s been aggressively buying it. Cramer also noted that Clorox had a good quarter and the company has strong cash flow. Cramer also recently wrote that consumer products companies retain their earnings power in a recession.
