For Wednesday, August 26, TheStreet awaits quarterly results from Brown-Forman Co. (BF.B), Abercrombie & Fitch (ANF), Chico's (CHS), and William-Sonoma (WSM). Abercrombie & Fitch is expected to report a loss of $0.08 a share, down from $0.19 a share the same quarter last year. The company's stock price is $17.37, up 0.4 percent for the day ahead of earnings. On the economic calendar, at 8:30 a.m. Eastern, Durable Goods Orders will be released. Orders are expected to decline 0.4 percent in July. Lower transportation orders, specifically aircraft orders, are the expected reason for the decrease. At 10:00 a.m. New York Federal Reserve Bank President William Dudley will hold a press conference on the regional economy. TheStreet's Valerie Young reports in New York.
