Netflix (NFLX) hit a one-year high on speculation the streaming company might announce a stock split at its annual meeting. A split proposal will be voted on by shareholders on Tuesday night. Airlines were selling off on concerns that ballooning capacity would undercut profits. American Airlines (AAL), the U.S. leader by traffic, kicked off the selloff after estimating passenger revenue per available seat mile would decline by as much as 8% in its second quarter. Oil settled at a one-week high on Tuesday, boosted by a revision to 2015 forecasts from the Energy Information Administration. The S&P 500 only just broke a three-day losing streak, rising 0.04%.
