Casino stocks were under pressure Monday after Sterne Agee published estimates suggesting gambling capital Macau saw a 46% decline in its revenue run rate at the beginning of the month. MGM Resorts (MGM), Las Vegas Sands (LVS) and Wynn Resorts (WYNN) were selling off on the news. Stocks were modestly lower in a quiet start to the week with no fresh economic data to review following Friday’s jobs report. Sears (SHLD) shares were lower after the retailer reported quarterly sales down more than 25% from a year earlier. Syngenta (SYT) shares were lower after the company reportedly rejected a second unsolicited offer from its rival Monsanto (MON).
