Despite making big moves to the downside during the session, stocks rebounded to close flat on Thursday. Equities edged higher in late afternoon trading as small caps rose higher after this week's sharp losses. General Motors (GM) is recalling more vehicles. This time the automaker is recalling more than 117,000 cars and trucks in North America because of their chassis control modules. GM says it knows of no crashes or injuries or deaths related to the recalled part. General Motors investors didn't seem bothered as the stock closed more than 2% higher. GoPro (GPRO) crashed however, down almost 7%. GoPro founders said they're donating nearly 6 million shares of the stock that were just released from lockup restrictions to a charitable foundation. Wayfair (W) is up 30% on its first day of trading.
