The English automaker Jaguar has always had a long association with motor sports. In the 30's winning alpine trials, and the 50's winning the Le Mans. All while inspiring the world with captivating auto designs such as their C-Type and D-Type race cars. The great Enzo Ferrari, founder of Ferrari Automobiles, called the famous E-Type of the 60's the most beautiful car ever made. Through the 70's and 80's Jaguar, as with every car maker, was straddled with emission and safety regulations, ultimately ending the reign of the Jaguar sports cars. As early as 2000, Jaguar has had sports car prototypes envisioning a spiritual successor to the E-Type. It wasn't until 2013 that the newest Jaguar F-Type sports car was launched to rekindle the legend.
