Should bank stocks make a move higher from here, the machines and algos will be following and buying bank stocks.
The market capitalization of Zoom ($161 billion) today eclipsed that of the combination of Citigroup ($89 billion) and Goldman Sachs ($70 billion).

I shouldn't be surprised that I'm getting questions about the banking sector.
I don't pick stocks on politics, but was shocked to see how a majority of our Action Alerts PLUS holdings would perform if Joe Biden wins the White House.
This is probably a $260 stock, and will be on the day that the market stops hating on the banks.
This morning's EPS results at Wells Fargo , a small miss against expectations, and Goldman Sachs , a large beat relative to expectations, illustrates the structural difference in the two institutions. Wells Fargo is a consumer based bank that is hi...

Some patterns reveal themselves easily, and you can spot them ahead of the computer programs. Here are examples of them, and how to act.
While I have no plans to sell my large holding, the setup for tomorrow's earnings are poor as Goldman's shares have risen by over +$20 in the last two weeks. GS was placed on my Best Ideas List back in December, 2018 at $169.95. I had sold the stoc...

* Financials remain unloved * Until they rally further! It was only about two weeks ago that I began to add to and initiate a number of individual equity buys. Among those was Goldman Sachs (at under $190/share) which is now trading at nearly $206...
I've made a few new buys Thursday morning.
The Fed has extended the buy back ban for banks to year end. To me, this is the sort of news that is part and parcel of the bottoming process for the bank sector. I have continued to add to the existing holdings and recently reestablished longs in ...
Neither candidate seems to be the enemy of the market -- at least not yet.
In response to some email questions... very recent buys include , , , , , , , (upgraded), , , (I wrote several columns on the company yesterday), etc. __________ Long SJM (large), THS (large), GS (large), MS (large), GLD (large), WMT, GM (large), K...

Goldman Sachs continues its stellar rally from under $190/share last week.
After having sold my s, I am adding to what i view as "value stocks." I am bidding for Papa John's , General Motors , Walmart , Morgan Stanley , Goldman Sachs .... and more bank stocks.
* Fasten your seatbelts as today is another day, Scarlett! Thursday's session was wild and volatile. Last evening was equally volatile - with S&P futures up as much as 20 handles and were down by -23 handles (at 7:05 am). The S&P is at approximate...
