Markets had a strong day of trading Thursday.
Purchase these stocks next week and have some extra spending money by Memorial Day.
Markets sold off heavily in the final two hours of trading to close the day solidly in the red.
* The dark week in February, described in The Day Liquidity Died was likely the tremor ahead of a quake to occur later in the year * The market may have already seen a 2018 high * On Friday we might have completed the similar six week pattern of sharp drop, rally, retest, rally, retest that we saw in November-December, 1987 (in the last liquidity-driven event caused by Portfolio Insurance) * Though market risk has recently declined relative to reward, more volatility and a widening trading band likely lies ahead The key points I want to make this morning:

I think I did it again I made you believe we're more than just friends Oh baby It might seem like a crush But it doesn't mean that I'm serious 'Cause to lose all my senses That is just so typically me Oh baby, baby - Britney Spears Oops!... I Did it Again After issuing an optimistic outlook last week, Deutsche Bank (DB) delivered cautionary comments on slower than expected revenues (among other things a currency headwind) and reported on other weakening areas of the bank. I have continually run counter to DB bulls over the last year (Here and here). In premarket trading DB was trading at $14.75 - a new 52 week low. I remain short and I would avoid this opaque and troubled bank.
