Stop freaking out about the transports. You are reflecting the nadir of international commerce as few believed that anything could come from the trade talks.
Yes, Expeditors (EXPD) was terrible. Truly CSX (CSX) was a bummer. I never really cared for J.B. Hunt (JBHT) . But when I see these declines I truly think buying opportunity as hackneyed as that phrase has become. I am not alone. CSX was down more than a buck on that suboptimal quarter but it rallied back, I think, when investors decided, wait a second, that quarter reflects the steep drop-off in world trade because of the tariff tiff as well as the endless retreat of coal given the environmental circumstances.
In fact I thought it would give people that chance to get into Union Pacific (UNP) and you had it, but it lasted for about 15 minutes.
The buyers get very few breaks. Today's a perfect example.
