There has been some strengthening in price action during the day, but it is dull and a bit choppy out there today. It has the feel of summer lethargy which isn't too surprising.
I haven't been very active today, but there are two things I'm focusing on. The first is very slowly building positions in some stocks that have made sudden big moves. This includes Butterfly Network (BFLY) , Fisker (FSR) , and Lightning eMotors (ZEV) . These are all stories that I think will work well over a longer period of time, but I want to take advantage of pullbacks as they develop. I want to buy very incrementally and be in position to lower my cost basis as they develop from here.
The second thing I'm working on is positioning in front of some earnings reports. In particular, I have HyreCar (HYRE) , Enthusiast Gaming (EGLX) , Performant Financial (PFMT) , and TaskUs (TASK) on my radar. They are all scheduled to report tonight, and I'll be looking for opportunities after the news is out. In all four cases, I'd likely be a buyer on weakness unless there is something surprisingly bad in the reports.
This is a good environment for taking advantage of higher levels of volatility, but it helps to have some sort of catalyst to drive the movement.
