I reviewed the charts of retailer Kohl's Corp ( KSS) on May 24 after they reported earnings. The stock was higher on the day but that strength did not last long.
Let's check and see how the charts look today.
In this daily bar chart of KSS, below, I can see that the earnings report last week had only a fleeting bullish influence. Prices are poised to make a new low for the move down. KSS trades below the negatively sloped 50-day moving average line and the declining 200-day line.
The On-Balance-Volume (OBV) line is still holding above the low made in March. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) oscillator is trying to make a higher low but remains below the zero line. 
In this weekly Japanese candlestick chart of KSS, below, I see a bearish picture. Prices are in a downward trend. Notice the large top formation in 2021? Notice the large upper shadow on a recent candle pattern? This shows us that traders rejected the highs the other week. Trading volume was more active that week as traders voted with their feet.
The weekly OBV line is pointed lower. The MACD oscillator is bearish.
