3D Systems Corp. (DDD) is scheduled to report quarterly earnings Tuesday after the close of trading. Let's check out the charts.
In this daily bar chart of DDD, below, I can see that prices have been basing around the $10 level since May. Prices made a new low for the move down in late December but then rallied above the 50-day and the 200-day moving average lines. DDD has recently pulled back to retest these lines. The On-Balance-Volume (OBV) line made a low in late December and now shows some improvement. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) oscillator is pointed down, but is still above the zero line.
In this weekly Japanese candlestick chart of DDD, below, I see an improving picture. Prices have stabilized after a long decline. It is too hard to see the trading volume but the weekly OBV line does show improvement the past two to three months. The weekly MACD oscillator is poised to break above the zero line.

Bottom line strategy: The charts are mixed to bullish. There is a risk of a decline to the $9 area but also the possibility of a rally to the $22 area. Aggressive traders could probe the long side of DDD below $9 risking to $7.75.
