Vardy graduated from Stanford with a bachelor of arts degree with honors and distinction in both economics and history, and he also earned a master of arts degree in modern European intellectual history. After winning a Fulbright Scholarship, he earned his law degree at Harvard Law School. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
