Whitfield has written extensively on the oil sector as well as the nuclear industry and the rise of China as a driver of commodity deals. Prior to joining The Deal, Whitfield had written on finance and investment for a number of British national newspapers including The Independent, Daily Telegraph and Financial Times, as well as the BBC. He has also worked as a financial journalist for BBC’s daily business show, “Working Lunch.”
