U.S. futures are falling Thursday ahead of Thursday's opening bell, with the Dow indicating an open more than 100 points lower than it closed Wednesday.
Dow futures were falling 0.4%, indicating an open 104 points lower, while S&P futures declined 0.47%, indicating an open 13 points lower, and Nasdaq futures were down 0.61%, indicating an open 45 points lower.
Asian markets had their own rough day of trading, with the Shanghai Composite dropping nearly 3%, the Nikkei falling 0.8%, and the Hang Seng declining 0.23%.
In Europe, the FTSE 100 declined 0.11%, the DAX fell 0.06%, and the CAC 40 gained 0.26% with about three and a half hours left in trading.
