Closing Bell
The major U.S. indices had a roller coaster day of trading that ended with two of the three indexes closing the day in the green.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average and Nasdaq rose nominally, 0.07% and 0.05% respectively, while the S&P 500 closed the day flat at 2,914.
Premarket
U.S. futures are tanking ahead of Friday's market open as turmoil in Washington ahead of a committee vote on the next Supreme Court nomination weighs.
Dow futures are down 0.35%, indicating an open 93 points lower, while S&P futures are falling 0.29%, indicating an open 9 points lower, and Nasdaq futures are declining 0.36%, indicating an open 27 points lower.
Asian markets continued their upswing with the Shanghai Composite jumping 1.06%, the Hang Seng rose 0.1%, and the Nikkei jumped 1.36%.
In Europe, markets were declining with the CAC 40 dropping 1.1%, the DAX declining 1.59%, and the FTSE 100 declining 0.76% with about four hours left in trading.
