Today, June 5, Bill Gates and Warren Buffett mark the silver anniversary of a friendship that has its roots back in 1991.
The former tweeted today that he met the Oracle of Omaha 25 years ago. On his blog, Gates said Buffett has helped him and his wife, Melinda, "do two things that are impossible to overdo in one lifetime: learn more and laugh more." Gates also shared some of his favorite memories of their time together.
Meanwhile, Leveraged Commentary & Data, a news division of Standard & Poor's, tweeted, "What the Heck Is Happening to Junk Bonds?".
S&P has previously reported an increasing number of investment outflows from funds that specialize in high-yield bonds over the past month.
And in a sweet deal involving private equity firm Gores Holdings, Hostess Brands, the maker of Twinkies, is going public. The transaction will introduce Hostess as a publicly listed company with an anticipated initial enterprise value of about $2.3 billion -- an insane valuation according to TheStreet's Brian Sozzi.
