"Finding Dory," the follow-up to Disney (DIS) Pixar's 2003 hit "Finding Nemo" hit theaters Friday, which should give some lift to a so-far weak summer blockbuster season. (Results for Paramount's "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows," which opened on Memorial Day weekend were underwhelming.) Box-office analysts predict "Finding Dory" will bring in $131 million in its opening weekend. Shares of Disney gained 0.62% in Friday's session.
Investors looking to stay in this weekend can enjoy the latest season of Netflix's (NFLX) hit show "Orange Is the New Black," which just went live Friday. Despite Netflix's orginal programming receiving critical acclaim, shares of the company are down 17% year to date and closed at $94.45.
