Should CEOs be eager to get in front of Congress? After watching the stock of United Continental (UAL) zoom today at the same time that CEO Oscar Munoz was in front of Congress, you have to wonder.
But I think investors are getting in front of the annual lovefest with Warren Buffett this weekend, where I believe the great one will share his love for the group, especially Southwest (LUV) . (Southwest is part of TheStreet's Action Alerts PLUS portfolio.)
It's been a real sucker's game to go against Buffett on the eve of the Berkshire meeting, which is so well covered that it amounts to all of the analysts on a company going from Hold to Buy. Given how everything trades like an ETF these days, does anyone think UAL won't levitate? And on Monday when CNBC's Becky Quick interviews Buffett, you have even more investors coming in and saying, "Wow, I didn't realize these were so cheap."
So, damn the Congress, full speed ahead. The Buffett-infused rally has just begun.
