Tax talk provides a bit of good news, but momentum fizzles.
Bulls can't build as headlines start to matter more.
Whichever side can generate it, bulls or bears, can win the trend.
The problem recently has been consistency.
Whether that converts into further buying and better momentum is the question.
Traders recognize that chasing doesn't work when there is so little momentum.
It is a very muddled market, and that demands that we stay patient and wait for greater clarity to develop.
There is no fear or greed driving the action.
This market isn't going to be much fun until there is some damage done to the bulls.
If you want to trade, you have to maintain short timeframes and be ready to flip.
