Given that we've run so much, it wasn't all that bad.

Given that JPMorgan (JPM) didn't wow people, it was downright good.

And given that Research In Motion (RIMM) is imploding, you could have had a tech wreck. Nope, the group acted great.

Plus some of the high fliers, like Panera (PNRA), Chipotle (CMG), Deckers (DECK) and LinkedIn (LNKD), were terrific -- especially given the overall data today, jobless claims in particular.

And now Google (GOOG) looks like a winner.

My take: We should have been down much more. We weren't.

Victory for the bulls.
